Meet Our Pastor:


Dr. Alice Ridgill is a unique vessel with a unique voice. Her love for God and compassion for people are evident in every aspect of her life. A native of Manning, South Carolina, Dr. Ridgill attended Presbyterian College where she earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts with a music concentration. While at Presbyterian, Dr. Ridgill yielded to God's call to pastoral ministry. After graduating, she enrolled in Erskine Theological Seminary where she earned both the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees. Dr. Ridgill furthered her education by earning the Certificate in Executive Leadership from McCormick Theological Seminary and the Master of Business Administration degree from Lousiana State University-Shreveport. She is the author of "Maximizing The Meantime: Feasting on God in Times of Famine", an inspirational, Biblically based, self help book designed to assist readers in navigating the unpredictable and uncomfortable interim between now and next.  

Prior to founding New Faith Presbyterian Church in 2010, Dr. Ridgill served as Pastor of the former Washington Street Presbyterian Church, Abbeville, South Carolina, as Adjunct Professor of Pastoral Care at Erskine Theological Seminary, as Campus Pastor of Thornwell Home for Children, and as an officer in the United States Air Force Reserves. 


In recognition of her unwavering commitment to the community, the Key to the City of Abbeville, South Carolina, was presented to Dr. Ridgill on October 30, 2005, making her one of the youngest persons to ever receive this prestigious award.

In June of 2016, Dr. Ridgill preached before the 222nd General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), Portland, Oregon, where her sermon "Difference Makers" was met with critical acclaim. In July of 2016, Dr. Ridgill preached before some 5,000 attendees at the Presbyterian Youth Triennium (Purdue University) where her message "God is F.U.N." was enthusiastically received by attendees and widely shared via social media.  

Dr. Ridgill's past and current board affiliations include: Piedmont Technical College Board of Visitors, Greenwood Food Bank Board of Directors, Presbyterians Caring for Chaplains and Military Personnel Board of Directors, and the Presbyterian Mission Agency Board of Directors.

Known for her unwavering commitment to God's call upon her life and her extraordinary leadership ability, Dr. Ridgill is a woman of God on a mission to see people's lives forever changed. She is committed to making a positive impact on the world by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with all people.

Dr. Ridgill's generous philanthropic efforts have blessed the lives of countless people. Her compassionate spirit and servant's heart are encapsulated in the motto she lives by each day of her life:
